India is home to numerous art forms that are rooted in various cultures, geographies, and people. This illustrated series was created in an attempt to look closely at some of those art styles. It was executed as part of the ninth edition of the #36daysoftype challenge on instagram.
These art forms are practised by people from different parts of the country using a diverse set of tools, techniques, on unique surfaces, perhaps, by following specific rituals. Through this series I could only capture the visual aspect of these art forms. An in-depth study would include many other facets that go beyond the mere looks of the final outcome.
